Flat Earth, Iron Fist

On This episode Matt is joined by guest cohost Tim Yobo (from The BloodyBits Horror Show) to talk all about and around the flat Earth theory.

The discussion begins in the time of Pythagoras where, despite the revisionist attempts of pseudo-historians to claim otherwise, it was common knowledge that Earth was round.

Then it's off to England in the 1800's where a man named Samuel Rowbotham had the gall to both rename himself Parallax and invent the foundational beliefs of flat Eartherism.

Finally, our trip around the globe ends in Zion, Illinois.  A town founded by a faith healer/con artist until a flat Earth zealot usurps power and spends nearly three decades ruling the town with an iron fist.  Strict adherence to belief in the flat Earth, a draconian moral code, threatening billboards, cries of a stolen election, and the storming of a government building in the search for ballot boxes are just a few of the head spinning topics discussed.
